PVC Pipe Fittings Jointing
1. Solving Cementing Operation is a simple and quick process for jointing. To make
the joints strong and water tight, follow a few simple rules for jointing.
2. Cut off pipe at a right angle.
3. Deburr the inside edges and chamfer the outside ones.
4. Wipe the pipe end and the socket with a clean cloth and remove obvious dirt.
5. Apply cleaner (primer) outside of the pipe and the inside of the socket thoroughly.
6. To ensure proper jointing cleaning process may be repeated.
7. Apply normal layer of solvent cement to the fitting socket and thicker one to the
pipe with brush pressure in axial direction. Work in well.
8. Push the pipe and fitting together immediately and bring them to correct alignment.
Hold them in the position for a short while until initial bonding has taken place.
9. Remove any surplus cement immediately using absorber paper.
